Qatar Airways Extended Waiver Policy

With this in mind, Qatar Airways have extended their Flexible booking policies to offer even more choice to our passengers. Passengers want to ensure that when they are ready to fly, they can fly with an airline they can trust. But if the passenger needs to change their plans, they can have options to make this easy for them to re-plan their future travel.
Qatar waiver policies will help the traveler who has booked or planning to book their future travel up to December 31st, 2020. 1. Unlimited Changes
If you plan to book up to 30 September 2020, you will be given greater flexibility up to 3 days before departure by having the option of changing our travel date free of charge or exchanging for a future travel voucher.
With the flexible waiver policy, Qatar Airways will allow unlimited change of date so that passengers can change their destination as much as they need if it is within 5,000 miles from the launch. Any fare discrepancies will be paid by the airline for travel completed before December 31, 2020, after which ticket regulations will apply. All travel tickets booked until December 31, 2020, will be valid for two years from the date of issue.
2. Hold on to their ticket
The passenger can travel when they are ready to fly, with this Hold on tickets concept. However, the passengers can extend purchased ticket validity for 2 years from the date of ticket issuance for greater flexibility. Qatar Airways travel tickets booked for travel until December 31, 2020, will be automatically extended for 24 months.
Whenever passengers will be ready to travel again, within 24 months from the day they have purchased tickets, they just need to contact a travel agent or Emirates to rebook the flight tickets.
3. Swap for Qmiles
Swap your Qmiles ticket and redeem them on extra baggage or cabin upgrades when the time is right for you to travel. You will earn 100 Qmiles for every 1 USD which is valid for at least three years, so you can have the flexibility to choose how, when and for whom to redeem them.
4. Exchange for future travel
If you are not ready to travel during this unique time, well, we have this option for you. Here, you can exchange your travel tickets for a future travel voucher with 10% additional value. Travel vouchers are now valid for two years from the date of voucher issuance.
5. Refund your ticket
Additionally, if the passenger wants to cancel their trip we will give them a full refund, they won’t be penalized for the refund request. Customers who have opted to Hold on to their ticket or opted for a travel voucher may still apply for a refund.
