Dubai based carrier Emirates announced it’s a plan to roll out a redesigned onboard experience for its flagship Airbus A380 aircraft. The celebrated aircraft A380 has resumed operation of Onboard Lounge and Shower Spa by introducing additional health and safety measures. Moreover, airlines have enhanced it’s offering by introducing a nutrient-rich welcome drink for the Emirates customers.
The A380 Onboard Lounge will turn into a take-away bar with restricted seating space and social distancing procedures in place, serving first and business class passengers. The bar continues to provide customers with premium wines, hard drinks, soft drinks and pre-packaged lounge bites to take in and enjoy in the comfort of their own premium cabins. Customers can also prefer to order from their own seats. On select Boeing 777 aircraft of Business Class and First class, social areas are reopened and provide pre-packed snacks for the customer to grab and go.
Emirates Resume Signature Onboard Experience
Furthermore, First class customers can enjoy a shower at 40,000 feet. Luxury spa product kits will be included in amenity bags to each customer. The kit includes pampering essentials from organic brand VOYA along with a disposable bath towel and a menu to choose additional amenities.
From November 1st, Emirates customers will enjoy the onboard dining experience with it’s signature service following strict hygiene protocol. Emirates customers can enjoy multi-course meals in all classes and choose from a free range of drinks, including wine and beer, as well as juices and soft drinks. In luxury classes, premium drinks will also be served. Customers traveling in Economy class can choose from 2 wines whereas Business class customers can choose from 6 wines, including port and champagne, while customers will have a range of 11 wines in First Class, including dessert wine, port and Dom Perignon champagne.
To enhance the customer experience, Emirates app has been improvised allowing the customer to browse the menus on their personal devices both online and offline.
Emirates To Launch Refreshing Welcome Drink
In order to give clients a health kick on their trip, the airline’s chefs and nutritionists have created a refreshing blend of apple, ginger and hibiscus. The vegan drink, which is rich in nutrients, is filled with antioxidants and is free of gluten and added sugar. A favourite on board and regularly refreshed to deliver various flavours would be the health drink. A selection of welcome drinks, including champagne and other juices, can also be chosen by customers.

To entice the anxious passengers back, Emirates has introduced Free Global Cover for Covid-19 related medical expenses where Customers can travel with confidence. In this program, the customer will get Covid-19 related medical expenses and quarantine costs if they are diagnosed positive with COVID-19 during their journey while they are away from home. This Free Global Cover is automatically applicable on all the purchased Flight tickets for customers flying on Emirates until 31 December 31st, 2020, and is valid for 31 days from the moment they start their first sector of the journey.
Emirates Travel Requirement
By keeping passenger safety in mind, all passengers traveling to/from Dubai, including passengers connecting in Dubai, have to present a printed copy of negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate to become eligible for the flight. Customers are advised that travel restrictions remain in place, and travelers will only be accepted on flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries
