The situation regarding the COVID-19 outbreak is evolving on a daily basis and airlines are now resuming their services to return the passenger at their home. To ensure the safety of passengers in flight, airlines have come up with an additional precautionary measure that will make passenger fly with confidence.
By keeping the passenger safety on priority, Turkish Airlines has introduced Additional Hygiene Measures to protect the health of their guests. They have unveiled new in-flight service changes to prevent the passenger from the global pandemic. To ensure the safety, Turkish Airlines will appoint a hygiene crew member, who will be solely responsible for ensuring compliance with the policies on each flight.
As Turkish Airlines are ready to fly in the skies after two months break due to global pandemic. For passengers safety, Airlines has bought a new set of safety measures to make them travel with peace of mind. They have implemented two safety measures to keep the passengers safe during their journey: Hygiene Experts and Hygiene Kits.
The airline will be distributing hygiene kits containing a mask, disinfectant and antiseptic tissue, designed with scientific evidence in mind. Furthermore, Hygiene Expert cabin crews will be assigned to flights to be responsible for the distribution of hygiene kits and to provide supervision to ensure that all appropriate precautions are correctly enforced.
Hygiene experts will also be responsible for reducing on-board circulation of individual and ensuring that cabin crew and passengers abide by social distancing rules. They will track passengers mask usage while ensuring passengers do not remove their masks at once during food and beverage service. Certain responsibilities may include instructing passengers to avoid lines from forming during washing and to disinfect the washrooms. Also, all cabin crew will continue to perform hygiene and safety checks of the lavatories.
Airlines are working hard to ensure the passenger to have safe travel experiences. At Turkish Airlines, they have been providing enhanced travel guidelines, which are prepared in compliance with scientific instructions given by Hygiene experts. Hygiene Experts will be responsible to make passenger more comfortable and safe during their journey enforcing social distancing measures and on-board hygiene taken care by Expert.
As per the new travel guideline and precautionary measure, Turkish Airline recommends passenger to check in online via mobile application or website. To ensure passenger safety, Turkish Airline recommends wearing a mask right from the step out of their home. As per their recommendations, the surgical mask should be changed after every four hours and passenger should carry extra mask with them to last the duration of the journey. Hygiene expert will take care of used mask should dump into the personal waste bag without touching the surface of the mask.
Additionally, after each flight, they will disinfect the whole aircraft including decorative panels, cabins and reading lamps to make them ready for the next flight.
This aircraft disinfection process will be a two-stage process called fogging upon their arrival and made ready for the next journey. This hygiene measures will be applied on domestic flights as well as international flights to keep the passenger safe during their journey.
