Places where vaccinated Americans can Travel Now and in the near future

Americans who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 could soon resume their cancelled plan or even map out a new one. Some countries are opening their borders for Tourists who are fully inoculated. However, regardless of the vaccination status travelers returning to the US from International Trip are required to test Negative for COVID-19. Some countries have even allowed entry to vaccinated international travelers without requiring testing or quarantine.

Belize

According to the Belize tourism board, traveler does not need to take a COVID – 19 test if they produce a proof of fully vaccination card at least two weeks prior to arrival. International Travelers need to download the Country’s Health App and must book their stay at “Gold Standard Hotel”.

Non-Vaccinated travelers require to have a negative PCR COVID test taken within 96 hours of travel or Negative Rapid test 48 hours prior to Travel. Children under the age of 5 are exempt. Travelers also have the option to get tested at the airport upon arrival for $50.

Croatia

As of April 1, any traveler who presents a COVID-19 vaccination certificate can travel to Croatia. The final dose must be administered at least 14 days prior to arrival. A non-vaccinated traveler needs to present the negative COVID 19 PCR or antigen test taken nor more than 48 hours prior to arrival. A retest must be taken 10 days after the initial test if your stay is longer than 10 days in Croatia. Children under 7 years old with parents or guardian are exempt.

Ecuador

Any Traveler with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate can enter Ecuador. Unvaccinated Traveler needs to present the proof of negative antigen test taken with 72 hours of departure or proof of recent recovery from COVID-19.

Travelers need to abide by safety protocols such as mandatory mask-wearing and maintaining social distance and avoid gathering 10 or more

France

France plans to ease travel restrictions and ease a nationwide curfew on non- E.U Travelers, including those from the US on May 2. New entry restrictions on travelers from India will be imposed to fight the spread of a  contagious coronavirus variant. 

France president Emmanual Macron revealed that the Ministers and Officials are working to develop a system that would enable vaccinated French, European and also American citizens to Travel more freely this summer. 

“We will progressively lift the restrictions of the beginning of May,” Macron stated. France is working to create a concrete solution for travelers especially for vaccinated citizens from the US. 

Georgia

According to the US Embassy in Georgia, Georgia welcomes any fully vaccinated traveler from any country as long as they present documentation about their COVID-19 Vaccination status. Fully vaccinated people do not need to get tested prior to arrival or quarantine upon arrival.
Unvaccinated traveler must arrive with a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure. They also need to get a follow-up PCR test on the third day after arriving in Georgia.

Greece

Greece plans to welcome fully vaccinated people and unvaccinated travelers who can present negative PCR test carried out 72 hours prior to arrival. The country is set to officially open for tourist on May 14. Tourism is the major income earner for Greece as it employs one in five workers.

Iceland

According to the government of Iceland, effective April 6, fully vaccinated travelers are allowed entry to Iceland without the need to quarantine or undergo mandatory testing.
Travelers who recovered from COVID-19 need to present proof of recovery.Travelers need to pre-register on the official website https://visit.covid.is/ before visiting the country.

Israel

Effective May 23, Israel will open its border to vaccinated travelers back as stated by Israel’s Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Health. The program will allow a select number of tour groups to visit at first. The number of groups will increase based on the success of the program.

All visitors are required to undergo the PCR test before boarding a flight as well as undergo an antibody test to prove their vaccination upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport.

Seychelles

The Island nation of Seychelles is welcoming all visitors regardless of vaccination status. Travelers should present the proof if vaccinated or if not produce a Negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of Travel. Travelers have to fill the Health Travel Authorization showing details about vaccination, test result, flight confirmation and accommodation details.
