Japan Airline Launches Trial with Three Health Credential Apps

In order to implement standardized digital health checks on the International Flights, Japan Airlines Launches Trials with Three Health Credentials Apps – CommonPass, VeriFly and IATA Travel pass. With these steps, JAL strives to provide a safe and secure travel experience for passengers. 

The apps will store information such as COVID 19 test results, in accordance with the entry requirements at the applicable country of destination in a safe and secure manner during the customer’s international journey. 

The digital Heath checks will help to achieve a contactless and seamless check-in process. 
Passengers will be informed about tests, vaccines and other requirements that are needed before traveling to the destination. 

Country Updates from American Airlines

  • Columbia – Curfew for next two weekends Thursday, April 15 @ 00:00 until Monday, April 19 @ 04:00 am and effective Thursday, April 22 @ 00:00 until Monday, April 26 @ 04:00 am
  • Peru – Travelers are required to wear face masks and face shield during flights and at LIM airport 
  • The Dominic Republic – Curfew Until May 16, Mon – Fri 9 pm – 5 am, Sat-Sun 7 pm – 5 am
  • Italy – Quarantine exception for PAX from JFK and ATL with antigen test 48 hours before arrival. 
  • South Korea – Travelers are required to take COVI 19 test on arrival or within 3 days after arrival in South Korea. Most travelers are required to quarantine for 14 days at the government designated facility at their own expense.

Foreign national to allowed entry into Israel 

Israel will start allowing vaccinated foreign tourists more than a year after closing its border to most international visitors due to the pandemic. 
Tourism will initially be resumed on May 23, 2021, to visitors from six countries: Cyprus, Greece, The UK, Spain, Austria, and Germany. 
Phase 1 will be tourists that are vaccinated and traveling in groups as they will be easy to monitor. 
Phase 2 will be allowing entry to individual travelers. The timeline for this phase will be decided after monitoring the health situation in Israel. 

All passengers will be required to undergo a PCR test before boarding their flight to Israel. Passengers will undergo a serological test at Ben Gurion airport to prove their vaccination

Entering into Malaysia (KUL) 

  • All passenger are required to install the MySejajtera App before arrival 
  • All passengers are required to bear the full cost of quarantine requirements set by the Governments of Malaysia and complete the Letter of Undertaking (LOU). To obtain a permit from the Embassy of Malaysia at least 3 days before the scheduled departure date for entry and bring a copy of this Travel Notice.  
  • All Passengers are required to undergo a 7, 10 and 14 days quarantine period depending on holding a negative RT-PCR test certificate issued within 72 hours prior schedule departure.

Entering into Singapore (SIN) 

  • A Covid 19 test certificate by an International Accredited or Government recognized laboratory within 72 hours of schedule departure time.
  • Completed SG arrival Card with Electronic Health Declaration

Entering into Hongkong (HKG)

  • A certificate of COVID19 nucleic acid negative test result by an ISO15189 accredited or recognized/ approved by the Government Laboratory. The test should be taken within 72 hours of the scheduled departure time.
  • Hotel booking confirmation at the government designated quarantine hotel no less than 21 nights.

Entering into Australia ( SYD, MEL, BNE)

  • A COVID 19 test negative certificate issued 72 hours prior to the scheduled departure time.
  • Completed the Australia Travel Declaration a minimum of 72 hours before departure for Australia and ensure the printed copy for the confirmation email for airport check-in;
  • For passengers entering Brisbane (BNE), required to complete the Queensland International Arrival Registration 72 hours prior to arrival and submit the clear screen of the approved QR code.
