Starting July 19, 2022, passengers flying on international flights operated by the Qantas Group no longer need to have a valid COVID-19 vaccination. This modification follows the Australian Government’s decision to remove the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for visitors arriving in Australia.
Unless there is a country-specific need, passengers will no longer need to present proof of COVID-19 immunization to board the flight. Travelers are advised to verify specific regulations before flying.
Masks are still needed on domestic flights, where government laws state they must be worn, for travel to and within Australia. Before departing for Australia, it is advised for passengers to familiarize themselves with the requirements.
Flights to and from Australia are in great demand, and modifications to Qantas and the Australian government regulations reflect it.
