As the world returns to normal, Turkish Airlines has announced its plan to resume scheduled flights to/from United State from July 27th, 2020. After the two months of hiatus, Turkish Airlines is returning to the skies with advanced health and hygiene practices along with the social distancing protocol to ensure passengers safety.
After facing several setbacks, last week Turkish Airlines finally resumed flying to the US following the COVID-19 grounding of flights. They announced that Turkish Airlines will reinstall flights to some US cities, flying to nine destinations with three flights per week.
Since this global health crisis has spread across the globe, airlines have been faced with a dramatic decrease in demand for travel. In addition, several governments shut down borders or even imposed lengthy quarantines to discourage even some of the most daring international travelers. For now, the carrier is working to rebuild its network by resuming scheduled services.
For the gradual comeback of the airline, they will continue its three-weekly flights to Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Boston and Miami until the end of July. This will increase to four times a week starting August 1st week.
Turkish Airlines is the only air carrier providing direct flights from Turkey to the United States, serving nine cities in the U.S. — Chicago, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami, San Francisco, Houston, Atlanta, New York, Boston.
Accordingly, all scheduled Turkish Airlines flights to the United States are expected to resume today, with Turkish Airlines flight number 3 Istanbul-New York JFK leaving 20 minutes behind its usual schedule at 07:05 local Istanbul time.
In a notice on its website, the airline said it would start again flying to Houston from July 27, 2020 in addition to the destination given below with flight schedule. They will have a gradual comeback as per flight frequencies given below,
