Greece Changes Rules for Inbound Travel

Greece has changed the rules for International Inbound Travelers. International Inbound Travelers, regardless of vaccination status, are now required to take a rapid antigen test 24 hours before arrival or a PCR test 72 hours prior to arrival for entry to Greece. The Rule came into effect on December 19. 

Earlier, Greece authorities required either proof of vaccination or a negative test in order to enter. The new mandate will last at least through the Holiday period in order to stem the spread of COVID-19 and give Greek citizens to get a booster shot. 

Vaccination is required in order to enter enclosed eating areas theatres, museums, fitness centers, and more in Greece currently.

Thailand Eases Entry Restrictions

Thailand Eases restrictions for International Arrivals which includes returning Thais and Foreign residents. The Rules are set under three schemes of Test & Go, Sandbox program, Quarantine. 

Test and Go

Test and Go allow vaccinated travelers to enter Thailand without undergoing a lengthy quarantine. Travelers are required to book a night at an approved hotel to stay in isolation while they wait for the result from an RT-PCR  COVID-19 Test.

Sandbox Program 

The Mandatory Stay is reduced to 5 days from 7 days the Sandbox Destinations (“Blue Zone”). The First testing will be done on arrival using the RT-PCR method but the second testing by an ATK method will be done on Day 4 or 5. Confirmed Payment of a 5-night stay is required in this case. 

Quarantine 

Travelers will be able to enter Thailand at all points of entry. Travelers must undergo 5 days of quarantine if they are fully vaccinated. Partially Vaccinated requires a 10-day quarantine, while the rest of arrivals need to undergo a 14-day quarantine.
