Traveling to Portugal? Online Completion of Passenger Locator Form Mandatory

Passengers Locator Form Mandatory for Portugal

All Passengers traveling to Portugal or Transit through a Portuguese airport are now required to present the proof of online completion of the Passenger Locator Form as per the mandate issued by Portuguese authorities.

  • It is no longer possible to complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) on paper, either at the airport or onboard.
  • The form must be completed and submitted before boarding, either after completing online check-in or airport check-in since it is mandatory to include the seat number on the form.
  • Passengers will need to present either printed or digital proof of online submission.
  • Failure to comply with this requirement results in fines applied by the Portuguese authorities to both the airline and the passenger, therefore passengers without proof of online submission of the PLF will not be accepted for travel by the airline.
  • All fields in the PLF are mandatory. Passengers in transit who do not have an address in Portugal should insert the name of the airport and city where they are transiting.
  • The electronic submission of the completed PLF generates an individualized QR code which is sent to the email address provided by the passenger. Passengers must present the QR code upon request by the airline or authorities, in either digital or paper format. Please see examples below of both digital and paper proofs of submission.

NOTE: Passenger Locator Form is also mandatory on flights from the Portuguese Islands, Azores and Madeira, to Continental Portugal
