The world’s largest passenger aircraft, Emirates’ flagship A380, made a historic touchdown at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airfield on October 14, 2022, Two weeks before the start of Emirates’ daily scheduled flights to the Tech Hub in India on October 30, 2022. This was the world’s largest passenger aircraft’s first commercial trip to an airport in South India.
Bengaluru is becoming the first South Indian city to receive Emirates’ premium A380 services. This wide-body aircraft’s arrival demonstrates BLR Airport’s operating capacity and the growing demand from travelers. The new A380 service’s improved premium experience on the Dubai-Bengaluru route would not only satisfy the high demand for travel but also encourage travel between the two markets.
The Emirates A380 will be available for travel to and from Bengaluru, allowing passengers to make use of the aircraft’s distinctive features over a wider network. Bengaluru will become the second city in India to receive A380 service from Emirates, which began flying the legendary aircraft to Dubai-Mumbai in 2014.
Emirates’ A380 flights between Dubai and Bengaluru will begin flying under flight numbers EK568 and EK569 on October 30. The daily flight takes off from the airline’s hub at 21:25 and lands in Bengaluru at 2:30 the following morning, local time. At 4:30 a.m., the returning aircraft leaves Kempegowda International Airport and arrives in Dubai at 7:10 a.m. (local time). The Boeing 777, Emirates’ other widebody aircraft, is used for two more daily trips.
Emirates now flies the A380 to more than 30 locations worldwide, and by March 2023, the airline hopes to have the popular aircraft in service at more than 40 locations.
