From Monday, Dubai based, Emirates will be taking bookings for 12 Arab countries for travel through July 1.
Bookings can now be made for flights from Dubai to destinations including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan and Sudan.
In total, 16 Emirates airlines are set to resume. However, the bookings are subject to change based on the developing situation of the outbreak. The airline will be offering as much notice as possible to customers should there be any changes in scheduled services.
In addition, bookings are also open for some cities in India and Pakistan including Mumbai, Delhi, Cochin, Kolkata, Manila, Dhaka, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Colombo. Emirates will also resume Airbus A380- to Mumbai, Jeddah, Amman, Cairo and Casablanca.
Emirates has resumed services to 9 destinations on May 21. The destinations include London Heathrow, Chicago, Frankfurt, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Toronto, Melbourne and Sydney.
As Emirates Said, Some of our flights are currently available for reservation starting July 1 but the situation is still dynamic and these flight services could be subject to change. We aim to give our customers as much notice as possible should any changes occur.
“Flight and travel restrictions for Covid-19 are also in force in many countries across the world. We are monitoring the situation closely as it evolves, and we hope to resume services as soon as conditions allow. This includes receiving government approvals, easing travel restrictions and commercial demand. We will announce any resumption of service when we are in a position to do so.” it added.
In the wake of coronavirus, Emirates had resumed new coronavirus precautionary measures to prevent passengers from the pandemic, including:
1. Emirates provides a free Hygiene Kit for all guests containing face mask, gloves, antibacterial wipes and hand sanitizer. Travelers are told to arrive 4 hours before departure at the airport.
2. The thermal scanners monitor the temperatures of both passengers and staff upon arrival at the airport.
3. Social distancing indicators are installed on the ground and at waiting areas to help travelers maintain the distance at check-in, immigration, boarding and transfer areas.
