The Pandemic put a hold on the Travel plans of millions of Travellers for long as travel comes to standstill. After the US Department of Transportation reminded carriers to provide relief to passengers for flights cancelled or schedule change by the airlines.
The Airlines responded by making refund policies and the process available on their websites. Some airlines made future travel credit options with certain guidelines for customers. United Airlines travel credits, including electronic travel certificates and future flight credit, give passenger flexibility for future trips.
United Airlines have extended all future flight credits by year until March 31, 2022.
United Airlines Future flight credit can be used to book travel on United, United Express, and partner-operated flights. Future flight credit must be used for travel from the time the ticket was issued. Future flight credit for tickets issued between May 1, 2019 – March 31, 2021, is only valid for travel commencing on or before March 31, 2022.
If the cost of the ticket you’re purchasing is more than the value of your united airline future flight credit, you need to pay the difference while booking.
You will receive a refund If the cost of the ticket you are purchasing is less than the value of future flight credit and the ticket was issued before March 3, 2020. You won’t receive a refund for the difference between the value of the future flight credit and the newly booked ticket if the ticket is issued after March 3, 2020.
