Qantas will Resume Flights From Sydney to Los Angeles and London from November 1

Qantas Airlines Flight from Sydney to Los Angeles and London

Australian Federal and New South Wales Governments confirmed that the borders will reopen on November 01, 2021. Qantas welcomes the decision by NSW Government to remove the quarantine arrangement for fully vaccinated arrivals.

From 1 November, Qantas will operate:

•    Up to four weekly round trip flights from Los Angeles to Sydney (First departure from Los Angeles 30 October to arrive in Sydney 1 November). 

•    Up to five weekly round trip flights from London to Sydney (First departure from London 2 November).

The two routes will be operated with its Boeing 787 Dreamliner from November 1. 

The airline said more flights will be added to meet the demand if needed. Flights from London will operate via Darwin until at least April 2022. 

These initial flights are limited to Australian citizens, permanent residents, and their immediate families and parents in line with Australian Government requirements.

All the other routes will continue to operate as planned from December 18, 2021, which includes Singapore, Japan, the US, the UK, Canada, and Fiji, before adding Hong Kong flights in February. Flights to Bali, Jakarta, Manila, Bangkok, Phuket, Ho Chi Minh City, and Johannesburg in April 2022.

Flights are now on sale. Passengers who have already booked to travel to and from London or Los Angeles and want to travel earlier can make a fee-free date change to their flight. A fare difference may apply.
