Public Notice Regarding Consular services in Houston

Consulate General of India in Houston has issued a new Public Notice regarding consular services. It states that the applications for Overseas Citizens of India while applying for consular services Visa or OCI, it is mandatory to provide proof of your cancelled Indian passport. If such evidence cannot be provided, applicants will be required to obtain a renunciation certificate. Applicants would need to complete the applications on the following website of VFS Global and send duly filled applications by post to the address given below:

It is mentioned that the visas for all existing tourist have been suspended until further notice including for e-visas. Emergency entry visa and other eligible categories [Business, Employment and Medical] allowed to travel to India are requested to send the applications along with the documents to the consulate by post following the procedure given at the following link:

All visa applications need to be filled online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in

For Services such as Attestation, Power of Attorney, Police Clearance Certificates etc. which falls under the miscellaneous consular services category can be sent to the Consulate through regular Post/Mail.
