The Vaccinated Travelers to the UK are no longer required to take a Covid-19 test

Fully Vaccinated Travelers no longer need to take the COVID-19 test before boarding a flight to a flight to the United Kingdom. Travelers just need to verify their status on the passenger locator form. Travelers are required to update the basic details like Travel History and vaccination status, among others. The details can be submitted 2 to 3 days before travel.

The New Mandate will facilitate International Travel during the country’s half-term school holidays.

Earlier, it was required to carry a lateral flow test or polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test (with an exception for kids aged 4 or below) from private service providers within two days of arrival. People who are two weeks removed from the final dose of their WHO-approved two-dose vaccine or two doses from the final dose of their WHO-approved single-dose vaccine. A booster shot is not required yet. 

Unvaccinated Travelers are subject to the testing requirement. Unvaccinated Travelers needs to carry out test prior to travel to the UK. They will also need to take a PCR test on or before day 2 of arrival in the UK. Quarantine is required only if a test is positive.

As a part of easing restrictions, the UK government recognizes vaccine certificates’ from a total number of 180 countries/territories.
