With the travel restrictions beginning to lift globally, Etihad Airways have decided to resume flights across 60 destinations and connecting the world through Abu Dhabi. With the current situation in mind, they are offering freedom to guests so that they can alter their travel plans if needed.
With the gradual reopening of the borders, Etihad continues to expand its network of services this winter, adding more destinations for those travelling to and from and transiting via Abu Dhabi. It is always advisable to check the entry requirements of the final destination to be eligible for the respective flight.
Etihad Airways Winter Network
Etihad Airways is growing its network and ready to serve passengers with more flexible travel options. This winter, passengers can fly to/from Abu Dhabi or transfer to over 60 destinations across Europe, Asia, Australia, the Middle East and North America.
Etihad Airways’ India Flight Network
With the gradual drop of Coronavirus cases, Etihad Airways is flying up to eight Indian destinations including Mumbai, New Delhi, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram for guests travelling from Abu Dhabi.
Etihad Airways’ Pakistan Flight Network
If you are planning to travel from Pakistan then you must be aware of travel restriction guidelines for a hassle-free journey and to ensure safety. Passengers need to conduct COVID-19 PCR test within 96 hours prior to travel dates. Negative PCR test certificate must be issued 96 hours prior to arriving in Abu Dhabi.
Quarantine Requirements
Yet as a result of Covid-19, travel restrictions will be in place. When you arrive at Abu Dhabi airport, you must self-isolate for 14 days to ensure safety. If you are traveling to another emirate then passengers must follow the quarantine guideline of the respective emirates. You will only be required to fly to another Emirate by Etihad Chauffeur, Airport taxi or Etihad Express Coach. UAE’s residents and nationals of Phase III vaccine trials or involved in the National Vaccination Program are excluded from quarantine upon arrival in Abu Dhabi.

COVID-19 global wellness insurance cover
Etihad Airways has introduced COVID-19 global wellness insurance cover to make sure the passenger feels safe during the journey. The global wellness insurance cover is applicable to every Etihad Airways flight ticket for travel up to 31 March 2021. The COVID-19 global wellness insurance cover will take care of a passenger’s medical and quarantine expenses if they are diagnosed with COVID-19 when you are flying with Etihad.
Travel Requirements
All Etihad guests must have a printed copy of the negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate before they board. The examination must be carried out at any government-approved medical facility between 72 or 96 hours prior to departure time. Children under the age of 12 and individuals with serious and moderate disabilities are excluded from PCR testing by COVID-19. This can vary by destination – always check in advance.
