As you may know Turkey and US has suspended non-immigrant visa services for US and Turkish citizens. New applications will not be accepted until further notice. However, US and Turkish citizens holding a valid US/Turkish Visa are not affected by this decision and will be allowed to enter US/Turkey.
US CITIZENS: US passport holders who do not hold a valid Turkish Visa, and have purchased their tickets before October 9, 2017 and booked to travel between October 9- November 20, 2017 with a final destination to Turkey (Turkish Visa holders and transit passengers are excluded) may change their tickets until November 20, 2017 as follows:
1-Rebooking: Permitted as INVOL without any charge in the same cabin regardless of original fare class.
2-Rerouting: Permitted without penalty in the same cabin within the same IATA area only.
3- Refunds: Permitted as INVOL regardless of original fare rules.
4- Extension of validity: Tickets may be extended up to November 20, 2017 without any penalty or fare difference.
TURKISH CITIZENS: Turkish passport holders who do not hold a valid US visa, and have purchased their tickets before October 9, 2017 and booked to travel between October 12- November 20, 2017 from Turkey with a final destination to the US may change their tickets until November 20, 2017 as follows:
1-Rebooking: Permitted as INVOL without any charge in the same cabin regardless of original fare class.
2-Rerouting: Permitted as per original fare rules only.
3- Refunds: Permitted as INVOL regardless of original fare rules.
4- Extension of validity: Tickets may be extended up to November 20, 2017 without any penalty or fare difference.
All transactions must be completed on/before November 20, 2017
- ISTCMTK 271338 OCT17 must be entered in the endorsement box of the ticket to avoid any debit memos. Please note these visa changes DO NOT AFFECT US citizens purely transiting through Turkey.
