Hainan Airlines Baggage

Baggage Information


Passengers are allowed to carry one cabin piece with weight not exceeding 10kg. Business Class passengers can carry 2 pieces of same weight. For checked baggage, Business Class passengers can carry two pieces with 32kg each and the volume not exceeding 20*40*55 cm. Economy Class passengers can carry two pieces with 23kg each and volume nor exceeding 20*40*55 cm. It has different criterias for carrying the baggage onboard. Each checked in baggage shall not exceed 50 kg and the dimension of 40*60*100 cm.

Carry on Baggage:

Every Airlines have their own terms and ristrictions for carrying on Baggage onboard on flight. Hainan Airlines allows hand luggage of size which should be 20 x 40 x 55 cms maximum with a weight of not more than 5 Kgs for domestic travellers. The weight limit would differ and increase to 10 Kgs for first class passengers in international flights, but might be different for other classes.


Checked Baggage:

The weight limit for any checked luggage should not be more than 32 Kgs. In addition to this the dimension of any checked bag should exceed 203 linear cms or 80 inches. The number of such baggages that can be loaded as cargo depends entirely upon destination and aircraft. It is advised to go through the chart or contact the customer care prior to packaging of laggauge.

Baggage Allowances

For every routes it has a different baggage allowances.

North America routes :

For Business Class travellers Hainan Airlines allows you to carry two pieces upto 32 kg For US Region, Canada Routes, also European Routes Brussels, Berlin, Paris, Rome, Manchester, Beijing,

African / Western Asia Routes : You can carry upto 40 kg in Business class.

China and Asian Countries & Regions (Excluding West Asia): Between 30- 32 Kg is allowed for the Business Class travelers.

  1. Baggage Allowance allocated and charged according to weight:

The overweight-baggage charge is 1.5% per kg of the highest one-way published Hainan Airlines fare in Economy Class according to the traveling direction. For charter flights, free baggage allowance and excessive baggage fees are subject to the actual policy noticed by chartering agent.
