Long Advance Purchase Period Program for Premium Class travel
Emirates have introduced a new program that gives discounts of up to 30% off First and Business Class seats when bookings are made in advance.
Business Class
- Bookings that are eligible for discounts must be booked either 30+ days or 90+ days in advance. A more significant discount will apply to the 90+ days fares.
- 38 destinations are included in Business Class
- Valid until 15th February
- Excludes origin EWR
First Class
- Bookings that are eligible for discounts must be booked 45+ days in advance
- 87 destinations are included in First Class
- Valid until 15th February
- Excludes origin LAX, JFK and EWR
Change of airport in Dakar, Senegal and temporary rerouting.
Emirates flight operations at Dakar, Senegal will move to the new Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS) in Dakar. The first passenger flight to this new airport was on 8 December 2017.
Until December 31, 2017, our four weekly flights to Dakar and Conakry (EK795 on days 3,5,7 and EK797 on day 2) will be rerouted to operate as DXB-DSS (Dakar) – CKY (Conakry). Effective January 1, 2018 flight routing will revert to DXB-CKY (Conakry) – DSS (Dakar) – DXB.
Additional 17 flydubai destinations added.
Effective December 11, 2017 Emirates will place it’s code on an additional 17 flights between Dubai and the below mentioned cities, bringing the total Emirates code-share destinations operated by flydubai to 66.
These additional code-share flights on flydubai are to destinations already operated by Emirates and will further bolster frequencies and connectivity.

New requirement of 2 unused passport pages for travel to South Africa
Please be advised that as per a requirement by South Africa immigration authorities, with immediate effect, customers travelling to any point in South Africa must have two (2) unused-blank pages in their passports. This applies to all types of passports for all foreign nationals excluding South Africans.
Please note, currently TIMATIC is yet to be updated, hence, until such time when TIMATIC has been amended, extra vigilance must be taken while accepting customers bound for South Africa (JNB/DUR/CPT).
This is a strict rule and the fine imposed for non-compliance is ZAR 15000.00 per customer.
Terms and Conditions relating to Long Advanced Purchase period program
Rules for Business Class:
· Minimum stay: 10 Days
· Maximum stay: 6 Months
· Stopover: Permit 1 free in DXB in either direction and charge $200 per stopover thereafter
· Child discount: infant (0-2 years) without a seat pay 10% of applicable adult fare. Accompanied/unaccompanied children (2-11 years) pay 75% of applicable adult fare.
· Reservation changes permitted before or after departure at a charge of $400 per change.
· Cancellation before departure permitted at a charge of $400 per person; cancellations after departure are Non-Refundable.
· Changes/cancellations due to No-shows are subject to a fee of $800 per passenger before departure.
· Changes/cancellations due to No-shows are Non-Refundable after departure.
· Fare basis codes: OTAPPUS1 and ONAPPUS1
Rules for First Class:
· No inbound blackouts or seasonality applies except for MRU, MLE, SEZ:
· Inbound blackout dates: 1DEC-31JAN
· Seasonality travel dates: 1FEB-30NOV
· Minimum stay: 7 Days
· Maximum stay: 6 Months
· Stopover: Permit 1 free in DXB in either direction and charge $200 per stopover thereafter
· Child discount: infant (0-2 years) without a seat pay 10% of applicable adult fare. Accompanied/unaccompanied children (2-11 years) pay 100% of applicable adult fare.
· Reservation changes permitted before or after departure at a charge of $800 per change.
· Cancellation before departure permitted at a charge of $800 per person; cancellations after departure at a charge of $1600 per person.
· Changes/cancellations due to No-shows are subject to a fee of $1000 per passenger outbound, and $2000 homebound.
